day 1 - Arrival in Tananarive - no meal

Meet and great at the airport, and transfer to your hotel.
We propose you either the charming la varangue, or the upper standard Royal Palissandre.

day 2 - Tananarive / Diego-suarez - b/l

Morning transfer to the tana airport, then air madagascar flight to diego-suarez. upon arrival, your local guide will be waiting for you, and drive you to your hotel : the alamanda hotel.
After getting your room, you'll go on a tour to the beautiful three bays. the first one, the sakalava bay is known as being a good windsurf spot. The second one, the pigeon bay is wilder, and less windy. the blue green water is inviting you for a pleasant bath. The sand hills bay is the last one, just separated from the pigeon bay by a small rocky peninsula.

The excursion is mixing both walking and 4wd periods, a picnic lunch will be served on the beach. After the three bays, you will head for cap minet and the former french military camp of orangea. Then way back to your hotel stopping by ramena village and beach.

day 3 - diego-suarez - b/l

full day dedicated to the famous emerald sea. we leave the city visiting the two diego's bay channels, then visit of the red tsingy and emerald sea crossing to a fabulous spot for swimming, snorkelling and resting. For lunch, fresh grilled fishes will be served with local relish and rice perfumed with coconut. Fay back to the city of diego after a visit to a village specialised in seaweed culture.

day 4 - diego-suarez / amber national park - b/l

Early morning departure by car to reach joffreville, this small city today almost abandoned but which use to be a pleasant week-end place under colonisation.
Situated in altitude, the temperature is much better here than in diego.

Full day visit of the national park, to appreciate the calm and serenity of this luxuriant place, with lots of small lakes and waterfalls. Picnic lunch will be served at the roussette campsite.

In the late afternoon, drive back to joffreville, where the beautiful nature lodge is.

day 5 - amber national park / eastern ankarana national park - b/l/d

At 6h30, you will leave the lodge and head for the particular ankarana national park. this second park is not far from the previous one, but situated in a totally different micro-climate.
As a consequence, fauna and flora have nothing to share. while your cook is preparing the lunch, you will go for a walk at the eastern entrance of the national park.
Visit of the main attractive places such as the bat cave, the water hole, or the small tsingy. Picnic lunch at the park campsite. Then, drive to the western entrance of the national park, wilder, and more impressive with its huge karst cliffs. Installation for the night at the american camp site.
Dinner under the stars.

day 6 - western ankarana national park - b/l/d

Full morning excursion to the green lake and the big tsingy of the park. Beautiful walk going from green and luxuriant canyons to dry forest on rocky areas. A lot of birds are living here, such as the famous crested coua. As well, it is possible to spot microcebus rufus sleeping nested in a tree trunk, or the lepilemur septentrionalis.

Way back to the campsite for lunch, then time for a nap. In the middle afternoon departure for the visit of the impressive cathedral cave, discovering meanwhile a short part of the gigantic underground water network.

day 7 - western ankarana national park / ankify - b/l/d

Morning departure back to the national road and then to ambilobe, a crossroad city between the north, the east, and the capital. stop for a visit to the colourful and vibrant market where you can fin absolutely anything, from vegetables to alive chicken, medicinal herbs, cooking pan and wigs ! then continuation to ambanja, where you will have lunch in a local restaurant.
In the early afternoon, visit of the millot plantation, specialised in perfume plants such as ylang-ylang, vetiver, patchouli or basil. continuation through vanilla and coffee plantation to ankify. it is a small village in front of the nosy be island. dinner and night at the hotel baobab.

day 8 - ankify / nosy komba - b/d

Early morning transfer to the unique tsara komba hotel.

free day at leisure.

day 9 - nosy komba - b/d

free day at leisure.

day 10- nosy komba / nosy be / tananarive / final destination - b

Transfer to the nosy be harbour by boat, then by car to the airport on time for your air madagascar flight back to tananarive. Onward connexion to your final destination.
