day 1 - Arrival in Tananarive - no meal

Meet and great at the airport, and transfer to your hotel. We propose you either the charming la varangue, or the upper standard royal palissandre.

day 2 - Tananarive / Diego-suarez - b/l/d

Morning transfer to the tana airport, then air madagascar flight to diego-suarez. Upon arrival, your local guide will be waiting for you, and drive you to the beautiful sakalava bay, known as a good windsurf spot. from there, you\'ll walk along the three bays, where a picnic lunch will be served on the beach. the blue green water is inviting you for a pleasant bath. the pigeon bay and the sand hills bay are just separated by a small rocky peninsula.

Visit of the former cap minet military base as well as the orangea camp. both area are beautifully situated close by our final destination, the ramena beach and village.

In the late afternoon, drive to your hotel situated above the ramena beach, the hôtel badamera.

day 3 -Diego-suarez / Baie du courrier - b/l/d

Early morning departure by car on a dirt road going from diego to cap d\'ambre. On our way, we will pass first through mango trees plantations, then by the famous diego salt fields, the biggest of madagascar. then we keep on going on a bad dirt road, through a wild and arid area. The majestic baobab adansonia suareziensis with their special dark red colour are more and more numerous on our way. picnic lunch on the way.
Then we arrive to the bottom of the windsor castle hill. This is a former military observation point, that have been used till world war two. Nowadays it is only ruins, but it is probably the best point of view over the all area. We walk up to this scenic point, and then keep walking to the baie du courier.

day 4 - Baie du courrier / Nosy hara - b/l/d

Early morning departure from the beach in front of the bungalows, using traditional fishermen dugouts. we head for the nosy hara small archipelago. small islands are offering strange "tsingy" (coloured mud peaks) right on the beach. Today we will snorkel on a beautiful coral reef, and a little further we will fish for dinner !

Picnic lunch.
In the afternoon, we will set up our camp on a desert white sand beach.

day 5 - Nosy hara / Baie du courrier / Joffreville - b/l/d

boat transfer back to the baie du courier where we will have lunch, then drive back to diego suarez. continuation to joffreville, where we will sleep at the nature lodge.

day 6 - Joffreville / Amber national park / Joffreville - b/l/d

Full day visit of the national park, to appreciate the calm and serenity of this luxuriant place, with lots of small lakes and waterfalls. picnic lunch will be served at the roussette campsite.

In the late afternoon, drive back to joffreville, for your second night at the nature lodge.

day 7 - Amber national park / Eastern ankarana national park - b/l/d

At 6h30, you will leave the lodge and head for the particular red tsingy : strange mud sharp peak sculptures offering an impressive panel of colours between orange to red.Picnic lunch on our way to the ankarana national park. this second park is not far from the previous one, but situated in a totally different micro-climate. As a consequence, fauna and flora have nothing to share. in the late afternoon, walk to the small tsingy (karst peak, different from the previous ones), and then to the bat cave.

Installation at the mahamasina camp site, then at night short walk to spot the hapalemur and the microcebus lemurs, both of them are nocturnal spices. dinner under the stars.

day 8 - Eastern to western Ankarana national park - b/l/d

Early morning departure for a day walk from the east to the west of the massif. you\'ll go through this specific arid forest, go up to the big tsingy overlooking the green lake. Picnic lunch. then, you\'ll start the way down to the west through a rocky area to finally arrive to the green and luxuriant canyons. a lot of birds are living here, such as the famous crested coua.As well, it is possible to spot microcebus rufus sleeping nested in a tree trunk, or the lepilemur septentrionalis.

Your car will be waiting for you at the english campsite, to drive you to the andriafiabe campsite, 20km south.

day 9 - Western ankarana national park / Ambanja - b/l/d

Morning walk through a few rooms of the impressive "cathedral cave" ended by a bath in the natural swimming pool. picnic lunch by the river, and drive to the national road and then to ambilobe, a crossroad city between the north, the east, and the capital. Stop for a visit to the colourful and vibrant market where you can fin absolutely anything, from vegetables to alive chicken, medicinal herbs, cooking pan and wigs ! then continuation to ambanja, where you will spend the night at the palma nova hotel.

day 10 - Ambanja / Antanambao - b/l/d

Morning drive along the national road till mangabe, south of ambanja. this is our departure point for our today walk.We will walk through the sambirano valley, along the sambirano river, through villages and traditionally run plantations of cacao and vanilla. night at the antanambao village in local huts. dinner with our hosts.

day 11 - Antanambao - b/l/d

Full day excursion in this fascinating area : early morning walk up the mount masomamangy (m) from where we have a great view over the sambirano valley, and in the back ground the mozambique channel. Then, walk down to the ambahatra river side, where we will have our picnic lunch. exploration of the gorges and the natural swimming pools. Way back to the village in the late afternoon for our second night.

day 12 - Antanambao / Ambanja - b/l/d

early morning walk to marovato where we will cross the river. then 4wd drive till ambobaka, departure point for our river floating trip to the "good fathers waterfall". picnic lunch and swimming in this beautiful natural swimming pool nested in a luxuriant forest. way back to ambanja in the late afternoon.

Dinner and night at the palma nova hotel.

day 13 - Ambanja / Nosy faly - b/l/d

Morning car transfer to ambaliha then to the end of the ambato peninsula where we will have lunch.
Then, we will get on traditional sakalava dugout to reach nosy faly, just in front. walk to the lighthouse, then from a desert beach to a hidden crick.

Dinner and night camping.

day 14 - Nosy faly / Marimbe - b/l/d

Today, you\'ll get on board of the "nomade" a wooden sakalava boat.

we head for the beautiful mitsio archipelago, made of small and bigger islands with white sand beaches, coral reefs..Lunch on board. we reach marimbe, one of the mitsio island in the late afternoon. we will meet the villagers, and set up our camp close to their village. Dinner and night at the camp.

day 15 - Marimbe - b/l/d

Full day to explore and enjoy this retired place. this is a unique chance of learning about the daily life of the villagers : how they fish, what they grow up, the importance of the goats...

Lunch on board the nomade, and afternoon snorkelling close by the ankarea small island.

Way back to our camp, and dinner around a fire camp, sharing time with the villagers, and eating a roasted goat (also called mechoui) with all the villagers. local singing and dancing.

day 16 - Marimbe / Andilana - b/l/d

morning on board the nomade to reach the north point of nosy be, andilana.This is the most beautiful beach of the island, with its white sand and long beach, shallow water.The perfect place to end your trip.
aperitif at "chez loulou", by the beach, and dinner and night at the belvédère hotel, overlooking the beach and the ocean.

day 17 -Andilana -b/d

Free day at leisure.

day 18 - Andilana / Nosy be airport / Tananarive / Final destination - b

transfer to the airport of nosy be on time for your flight back to tana, then onward flight to your final destination.
